2024 was a year I’ll never forget. With 14 full marathons, countless early mornings, plane rides across the country, and memories I’ll carry with me forever, this was my biggest year yet as a runner and pacer. Each mile brought unique lessons, challenges, and triumphs that pushed me to grow both on and off the road.

My 2024 Running Highlights
• 23 races total: 14 full marathons, 1 twenty-miler, 6 half marathons, and 1 15K.
• 18 pacing gigs: Including 11 full marathons with the incredible @OnPaceRace team, my running family since 2022.
• 3 “race” marathons: These were personal efforts, including my proudest moment—breaking the 5-hour marathon barrier!
• New adventures: I launched the Run Strong Run Podcast to share the inspiring stories of runners I’ve met along the way.
Lessons Learned
Completing 14 marathons in one year came with its share of challenges, but each one was a stepping stone to growth:
1. Planning is Everything
Balancing travel, training, and family required detailed planning. Having a solid race calendar, training schedule, and support system made all the difference.
2. Listen to Your Body
Running so many races taught me the importance of listening to my body. Recovery, cross-training, and the right gear helped me stay injury-free through it all.
3. The Power of Community
From my pacing family at @OnPaceRace to my personal cheer squad at home, I couldn’t have done this alone. Surrounding yourself with supportive people is key to reaching big goals.
4. Gratitude Fuels Motivation
Every finish line reminded me to be thankful—not just for my accomplishments, but for the journey, the miles, and the memories along the way.
Challenges Faced (and Overcome)
1. Travel Logistics: Managing flights, hotels, and meal planning was exhausting at times. But sticking to routines, like packing my favorite pre-race snacks and recovery tools, kept me on track.
2. Mental Fatigue: Keeping my focus during back-to-back marathon weekends wasn’t easy. I leaned on mantras and visualization techniques to stay motivated.
3. Balancing Family Life: None of this would have been possible without my amazing support system. My parents stepped in to care for my little ones, and my husband was my biggest cheerleader every step of the way.

Yay UUU!! I have loved following your journey.**I did 26 events total in 2024…. 11 marathons (Finished my 50th Marathon State in NH in June, my 11th Boston Marathon, my 23rd Carlsbad Marathon in a row).15 Half Marathons…I am “starting over” and working towards doing a HM in all 50 States. +++++++Keep on rocking it in 2025 Steph!!
