Running the same route day after day can get quite boring and monotonous! Have no fear. I’m here to tell you there’s hope! Here’s how to add entertainment, motivation, and fun to your next run.

A New Virtual Experience
Enter “Run to Escape: Mission Mt. Olympus”! No, this is not a race nor an event. This, instead, is a first-of-its-kind, virtual experience to add fun to your next run!
This new, virtual experience mixes running with storytelling and riddles. During each run, you’ll hear audio from one of six gods (think Greek gods, but way cooler).
Each audio is not only entertaining, but contains clues you’ll need to unlock your next challenge.
This virtual experience will test your wits to connect what you hear and see to complete each challenge. (If you get stuck on one of the challenges, that’s okay, you’ll have access to some hints.)
How It Works
Once you register for the Run to Escape: Mission Mt. Olympus virtual experience powered by running, you’ll be sent a “how to play” email.
In the email, you’ll be given instructions of how to connect each challenge to your free Runkeeper app. It may seem a little difficult at first, but the detailed instructions sent to you make it easy to figure out!
When it comes time to complete your run, you’ll open the Runkeeper App, toggle on the “Race Mode Audio”, and begin your run!
So far, I have completed the first two of six challenges and have had a blast! The first challenge was completed with my mom and the second was a solo challenge experience. Both experiences left me feeling entertained and motivated to head out for my next run!
Add Fun to Your Next Run
The Run to Escape: Mission Mt. Olympus virtual experience contains not just one run, but six! Complete all six challenges in one week or one month. It’s your choice!
Upon registration, you’ll get access to six different Challenges with puzzles, clues, and on-the-run audio providing motivation and entertainment for a total of 27 miles!
So far, I have found this immersive virtual experience to be much more enjoyable than a typical virtual race. In a typical virtual race, what I get from the registration fee is a T-shirt, medal, and a race distance that is over in just a few hours.
In this non-race, virtual experience powered by running, I get six different runs each with its own challenge and puzzles to solve. This will provide me entertainment, motivation, and fun for days rather than just a few hours!
