My Year Running on the Run Happy Team

This year, as a Run Happy Team member, has been one to remember! From receiving amazing Brooks products to meeting fellow team members, the following are some of my top memories from my first year as a Brooks ambassador.

My Year of Running Happy

Clothes, Shoes, & Hats, Oh My

As a runner, one’s shoes and clothes are quite important. They need to be comfortable, stylish, and last through mile after mile. A big highlight of being a Brooks Run Happy Team member is getting access to some amazing Books gear!

At the start of 2022, my go-to running shoe was the Brooks Ghost 14 shoe. The Ghost is one of Brooks most-loved shoes! It has advanced cushioning technology and gives runners a soft, smooth ride from start to finish. In addition to all of its amazing features, the Brooks Ghost 14 is Brooks’ first carbon neutral shoe!

Although I still really love the Brooks Ghost 14 shoe, I have also recently fallen in love with Brooks Glycerin 20 shoe. It features extreme comfort thanks to its new, supremely soft nitrogen-infused DNA LOFT v3 cushioning, an updated, improved fit and silky smooth transitions. Would you believe that I ran 14 miles as my first run in my new Glycerin 20 shoe? This shoe is seriously so amazing!

In the way of clothes, some of my favorite short-run / around-the-house shorts are the Chaser 5″ short. The shorts blend just-right coverage with lightweight fabric for an effortless feel. I may or may not have them in Cheetah print, navy blue, black, and red.

My go-to long run shorts that I received as a member of the Run Happy Team are the Brooks Method 8″ short tight. I was on the hunt for legging shorts with pockets that could go the distance and I found them! The Method 8” short tights are smooth, sleek and made for speed — no matter how fast you are. A stay-put fit and lightweight feel combine for streamlined comfort.

Run Happy Team Camp

Adults can go to camp too? Yes! Another perk of being on a Brooks ambassador is getting invitations to team events throughout the year, such as their annual Camp Run Happy.

This year Camp Run Happy was held in Park City, Utah. Myself and more than 100 of my fellow Brooks ambassadors gathered for an epic weekend of running, food, dancing, and socializing. To meet Jeffrey Binney in person, to get photography tips from Nikki Smith, and to meet so many of my Instagram friends in real life was more than amazing!

Several times I felt tongue tied and star struck by seeing so many people in person after seeing them on my phone for so many months and in some cases, years! I also struggled learning people’s “real” names as opposed to their Instagram handle names.

I was very thankful to travel to and from Utah with Autumn. We met through both being BibRave ambassadors. We quickly connected since we are also both moms, teachers, and reside in/near Sacramento, California. As a previous RHT member, I was thankful to have Autumn as my weekend mentor.

Now It’s Your Turn

Once a year applications open to join team Run Happy. The time, my friend, is now! Applications are currently open to join the 2023 Run Happy Team!

If you’re a passionate, positive person who loves to share running with others, then you should apply! Applications are open to anyone aged 18 or over, who reside in Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, or the USA, and can inspire others through social media.

I hope you and I can be team members together in 2023!

Love Stephanie, your cheerleader for improved mental and physical health
