I’ve been wearing compression socks for a while now, but I have never tried any other type of compression wear.  This is one of the reasons I was so excited to review a pair of compression tights.  One of my concerns before trying them on was wondering just how tight the tights were going to be.  Were they going to be uncomfortably tight?  Were they going to fall down too easily?  My SKINS tights arrived and I tried them on…

Initial Thoughts

Comfy!  Yes, that’s right. Even though these tights are compression, they were not too tight!  As for the tights staying in place, I was not 100% satisfied with this.  I may have ordered the wrong size or I may have too much mid section fluff.  Even when I was as my peak physical fitness in 2012, I still had no waist.  I am just one straight line on both sides.  Perhaps this is why the tights did not stay up very well.  Overall, however, I am quite satisfied with the tights.

The Benefits

Did you know that SKIN DNAmic Compression Tights increases muscle oxygenation, stabilizes active muscles and reduces blood lactate build up, to enhance performance and speed up recovery time?  They do!

Race Worthy

I ran one race while testing out the SKINS DNAmic compression tights.  It was a local 5k.  The last time I raced a 5k was back in October.  My training has been hit and miss lately, so I wasn’t really expecting anything great, but I was excited to see how the SKINS tights would impact my race.

My performance was much better than I expected!  I went into the race hoping to finish in under 30 minutes.  I ended up finishing in 27:16 which works out to be an average pace per mile of 8:44!

How did I perform so well?  I credit my speedy race to my new SKINS tights. The tights kept my legs feeling fresh and supported throughout the seedy run!
