If 2025 had a theme, it was movement with meaning. From pacing 13 marathons to helping hundreds of runners through run/walk intervals and building out the Run Strong Run & All Runners Count community, this year stretched me in the best ways.
Whether you joined a pace group, took my Interval Running for Beginners course, tuned into the podcast, or found me on Instagram—thank you for being part of it.
⭐️ The Marathon Year: 13 Start Lines, 13 Finish Lines
Yep… thirteen marathons! Each one paced—officially or unofficially—and each one with its own story.
Marathons I paced in 2025:
- Carlsbad Marathon
- Palm Desert Women’s Marathon
- Napa Valley Marathon
- LA Marathon
- Oakland Marathon
- Big Sur Marathon
- Casper Marathon
- Jack & Jill Marathon (July 26)
- Jack & Jill Marathon (July 27)
- Kona Marathon (sweep pace, finished in 7:24)
- Detroit Free Press Marathon
- Every Woman’s Marathon
- California International Marathon
My pacing ranged from 5:30 (Casper) to 5:50 and 6:00, all the way to my slowest effort of the year—Kona, where I worked as the sweeper and brought runners in at 7:24. Every pace told a story of grit and community.
And pacing with On Pace Race meant earning 11 magnets—each one with a different race logo and pacing time. My grown-up version of merit badges!
🏃♀️ Six Half Marathons, a 20-Miler & One Very Unexpected Spartan Race
This year’s half marathon lineup included:
- Davis Stampede Half Marathon
- Bay Bridge Half Marathon
- Sutter Buttes Half Marathon
- Santa Rosa Half Marathon
- USA Women’s Half Marathon
- Rock & Roll San Jose Half Marathon
Plus:
- Run the Parkway 20-Miler
- Spartan 10K (which was almost 8 miles!)
The Spartan 10K in Elk Grove was hands-down one of the biggest surprises of the year. I partnered with Spartan for the NorCal race, and wow—20+ obstacles later, my whole body felt it! Because of that, I made the smart call to downgrade the next morning’s Santa Rosa Marathon to the half… and my legs thanked me.
💛 The Growth of Run Strong Run & All Runners Count
2025 wasn’t just about running miles—it was about building something meaningful.
This year, Run Strong Run grew through:
- Launching Interval Running for Beginners: Starting Smart and Strong
- Supporting an incredible group of new runners using run/walk intervals
- Another year of the Run Strong Run Podcast
- Deepening the message that All Runners Count
- Releasing All Runners Count stickers + apparel
- Laying the groundwork to expand ARC merch in 2026
I met so many inspiring runners at races, expos, and online. That connection is what fuels everything I do.
✈️ Travel, Family, Work, and Making It All Fit
Alongside everything running-related, life was full—in the best way.
In 2025, I:
- Worked full-time as an elementary school vice principal
- Was mom to two sweet girls (ages 4 & 7 at the end of the year)
- Flew to eight different race destinations
- Took two family vacations (Cabo + Tennessee)
Running may not be my full-time job, but it’s my passion and my outlet. It fits into my life because it grounds me, challenges me, and connects me with others.
🌅 Looking Ahead to 2026
If 2025 was about momentum, 2026 is about expanding that momentum outward.
In 2026, I’m excited for:
- Growing the All Runners Count apparel line
- Continuing to pace with On Pace Race
- Developing more digital downloads & training resources
- Creating more content for beginner runners
- More race travel (and hopefully more family trips!)
- Connecting with even more runners online and through the course
Here’s to another year of showing up, taking care of our bodies, and celebrating that All Runners Count—always.
