My first injection was in June 2017. These pill containers, syringes, needles, and other medications represent two failed IVF attempts and one success, three lost embryos, and countless tears/prayers. If you have walked a similar road, you know the emotional, physical, and financial toll of infertility. If you're currently walking this road, I'd love to meet you for coffee, pray for you, and give you a hug. There's no words someone can say to ease the void of infertility. Just knowing, however, that someone is praying for you and standing beside you helps. Through it all, God is good. "Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying." Can you believe our last @starbucks pic was taken in June?! This 16 year old right here is my bonus daughter. She grew in my heart, not my womb. (Not pictured is my 13 year old bonus son.) These two kids made me a mom nearly six years ago. This last week I also became a first time mom to a child that I grew in my womb. My bonus daughter was there for the whole pregnancy and delivery of her little sister. When I was in pain, she offered to comfort me. When I told her I was headed to the hospital, she asked to come along. When she finally got to see her sister for the first time, she broke down in tears of joy. Seeing her love her sister brings so much fullness to my heart. ❤️ Last night, I left baby at home with hubby, and the bonus daughter and I went to the movie theatre. 📽This morning, I got dressed, pumped a bottle, left baby at home sleeping with hubby, and took the kids to school. 🏫It’s important for me to show them that although our lives have just dramatically changed with this new addition in our home, I can still spend quality time with them. I am still the same bonus mom who takes them on spur of the moment adventures, trips to the coast, and morning Starbucks runs. This is the moment I’ve been waiting for... to take my baby out in her #BobBlaze and be an official #BobMom. Baby is officially one week old! Labor didn’t go as planned and I ended up needing a c-section, but that’s ok. In the end, we have a beautiful, healthy baby girl. My running comeback, therefore, will be a slow one and that’s ok. While many of you were running, spectating, or volunteering at CIM, I was enjoying my first day home with baby. 👶🏻 After a long pregnancy and a long 37+ hours of labor, I’m proud to introduce you to Seraphina Kay. 💕 Seraphina was born Thursday, Nov. 29th at 7:30pm weighing in at 8 pounds 6 ounces and measuring 21 inches long. 💗 As a first time mom, it’s going to take me a while to navigate this new journey, but I accept the challenge with a happy and grateful heart. 💕 • • • #blessedbeyondwords #seraphinakay #newarrival #babygirl #newmom #runstrongrun
