Thank you for being the mom of my children.
Thank you for loving them and growing them in your womb for nine months.
Thank you for sacrificing your body so they may have life.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of not only your children’s life, but your life as well. Thank you for the hugs shared, the phone calls, text messages, the emails, and the time sat around the family dining room table having conversations with our children.
Thank you for allowing me to walk our daughter on the football field alongside of you the night she was crowned homecoming queen.
Thank you for allowing me to be there when our daughter took her driver’s test.
Thank you for wanting what’s best for our children.
Thank you for being patient with me.
I’m sorry for the times that I have been jealous of you. You will always have something that I don’t have; you are their mom.
I’m sorry for the times that I have been judgmental. You and I are two different people, so undoubtedly, we will parent differently.
I’m sorry for the times we have sat at separate tables during our children’s events.
I’m sorry for not always representing a united front for our children.
On this Mother’s Day, I celebrate you, the mom of our children.

In 2012, I became the bonus mom to two amazing children who at the time were 7 and 10 years old. In 2018, I gave birth to my first biological child. God is good and I am blessed!
