All About the Ladies

Support is important.  Support is especially important when it comes to your ladies.  Am I right women or am I right?!  Yes, that’s right, let’s talk about bras.

First, how often do you replace your sports bra? When I first attended Fleet Feet’s Great Bra Event, I learned that “the average life of a sports bra is 6-12 months. (This is assuming you hand wash and hang dry!)”  I’ll admit that I wear my sports bras for two years or more! *gasp

At the most recent Great Bra Event at Fleet Feet, I took my mom with me to enjoy the fun of getting fit for the perfect sports bra. I use to be a lot more modest when it comes to changing in the women’s locker room or changing room, but now I’m like, “If you’re a woman, then you’ve got boobs too!” lol

When you first show up at the Great Bra Event, you get to look at the wide selection of sports bras Fleet Feet has and then you get fitted by one of their specialists.  I was fortunate this time because I got paired up with Theresa, the West Coast Regional Sales &
Education Manager for Anita International Corp.  She was knowledgeable, likeable, and listened to my likes/dislikes.

After trying on a variety of brands, the sports bra that I ended up liking the best was the Anita Maximum Support – air control DeltaPad bra.  I first fell in love with the design.  Next, I fell in love with the comfort and support of the bra.  The design of this sports bra not only allows great air flow, but it also does not have any underwire (which I often have in all my sports bras).

The next day on my run, it worked out wonderfully!  The ladies got the support they needed without the sports bra being too tight.  (I owned a sports bra in the past that chafed me so badly on my back that it left a scar!)

When I first started running, I used to wear two sports bras because when I run, I like zero movement.  I, in fact, often say I’d love my ladies to be an A cup.  I feel like life would be so much easier! lol

Most recently, my Mercury Mile box contained a sports bra.  I tried it on and immediately knew that it was not going to provide very much support, especially not while running. To read my full Mercury Mile box review, check out THIS post.
